ABOUT
津軽海峡遠泳とは
世界には、遠泳スイマーが目標とする７つの海峡があります。
７つの海峡は「オーシャンズセブン※１」と呼ばれ、津軽海峡もそのひとつに挙げられています。
なかでも津軽海峡は最難関のひとつとされ、潮の流れが速いことに加えて潮目が変わりやすく、進路の見極めが非常に大切です。潮の向きによってはまったく進まない時間帯もあり、挑戦時間は平均して１０時間以上にも及びます。
７大海峡制覇を目指して世界中から多くのスイマーが挑戦しています。しかし、津軽海峡は挑戦するための手続きやサポートを行う現地団体が当連盟の設立以前になく、希望者に対して実施された遠泳の回数はまだまだ少ない状況です。
当連盟ではWOWSA（World Open Water Swimming Association）の協力のもと、津軽海峡遠泳に挑戦するスイマーをサポートしています。
※１ 7つの海峡は①ドーバー海峡、②カタリナ海峡、③クック海峡、④ジブラルタル海峡、⑤津軽海峡、⑥モロカイ海峡、⑦ノース海峡（順不同。それぞれの海峡に別呼称有り）
How we can support swimmers
当連盟のサポート体制
津軽海峡遠泳はスイマー1人あたり連続した5日間を設け、その中から条件の良い１日を選んで実施します。※２
Each swimmer will be offered a five day window to undertake their swim so you may choose your preferred date, subject to professional advice concerning weather and/or any other conditions. *2
≪例：とある月の実施日≫
下の日付のように、赤・青・緑・黄のような連続した５日間とし、条件の良い１日でチャレンジします。
Example:
Five consecutive days will be offered as possible dates as below.
*Each coloured period represents a sample five day window for one swimmer.
サポート内容は、泳ぐために必要な公的機関への申請、船舶の手配、当日スタッフの乗船、報告書及び完泳証の発行となります。※３
What we will do for swimmers *3
- Arrange the escort boat and pilots (who will also act as captain and deputy-captain)
- Submitting the requisite notice to the appropriate authorities, such as the Japan Coast Guard
- Arrange for the TLF Japanese staff to observe the swim
- Issue the certificate of achievement and related reports of your swim
※２ 実施日は５日間の中から、スイマー、当連盟、同行する船の船長の３者協議のうえで決定します。なお、成功の確率を高めるため、なるべく潮の影響が少ない日を選定します。
*2 Your attempt date will be determined by a discussion between the swimmer, TLF and the pilot. As far as is possible, attempts shall be carried out during or near to neap tide.
※３ 旅費、宿泊費、食費は自己負担です。また、日本語通訳が可能なメンバーを１人以上同行させてください。
*3 The costs for travel, accommodation, and meals are not included in the Tsugaru Strait Cross Swim fee. We do not provide an interpreter. Please include at least one Japanese speaking member in your team who must be present on any swim attempt day.
