I had such a great time experience with all team, from the association to pilots and observers. All extremely professional, skilled and supportive.
The welcoming party when we were back to the harbor was a memory I’ll treasure forever.

Observer’s Comment

On the day of the swim, the currents of the Tsugaru Strait were extremely fast, and at times the waves were so rough that it felt as though the escort boat might capsize. Despite these challenging conditions, Mrs. Cima remained composed throughout and seemed in high spirits during her feeding breaks.

The unity of her team was truly remarkable. I really think that the support provided by the coach and support swimmers played a significant role in her remarkable swim.

13 hours and 39 minutes was the time it took from her first stroke to her triumph moment, Mrs. Cima reached the rocky wall at Cape Tsubakura and raised both hands in celebration. It was profoundly moving — it brought tears to my eyes.

On the return journey, Mrs. Cima was understandably exhausted, yet the entire team was filled with joy and the deep sense of accomplishment lingered amongst us all.

I am sincerely grateful to have witnessed such an extraordinary challenge up close.

I would like to congratulate Mrs. Cima on becoming the first Brazilian to complete the Oceans Seven.
